Armando Eugénio de Sousa Santos
Born in 1955, in Macau, to Portuguese parents. Incentivized, as a child by his mother, who saw in him a passion for music, he became a self thought musician. He plays piano, guitar, drum, composes his own music and sings in various languages. His repertoire includes music from the 1940’s to the present days.
His love for music had him perfecting his art while playing nightly in the best hotels in Macau, playing music and singing in various languages. At the invitation of Daichi Hotel, he performed in Singapore, during an event to promote Macanese and Portuguese tourism.
Armando emigrated to Canada in 1988 and , presently, lives in Toronto, where he still performs regularly.
He was also invited to perform, back in Macau, in various Macanese Communities Reunion (Encontro das Comunidades Macaenses) and also in an event promoting Macanese gastronomy.
In 2006 and 2007, Armando launched to CDs of his own composition: “Lembranças de Macau” with music sang in Portuguese and Patuá (Macanese creole) and “Memórias de Macau” solely in Patuá.
Up to this date, Armando has composed over 200 songs in Portuguese, Patuá and English.
